PERMANENT JEWELLERY — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Wildly Welded Permanent Jewellery
By booking an appointment or purchasing permanent jewellery from Wildly Welded, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. THE SERVICE
Permanent jewellery is custom-fitted to the wearer and welded closed without a traditional clasp. The jewellery is designed to be worn continuously but is not indestructible and may break or come away if subjected to sufficient force, snagging or excessive wear.
The welding process itself is quick and is pain-free. A small jump ring is welded closed to create the finished piece.
2. FIT & SIZING
All permanent jewellery is individually measured and fitted at the time of your appointment.
You are responsible for checking that you are happy with the fit and comfort of your jewellery before leaving your appointment.
Permanent jewellery should be comfortable and allow for normal movement. It should not be excessively tight or restrict circulation.
Once you have left your appointment, resizing may not be possible without additional chain or a new piece of jewellery being required. Any additional materials or labour may be chargeable.
3. BREAKAGES & DAMAGE
Permanent jewellery is designed for everyday wear but breakages are not considered a manufacturing fault where the jewellery has been pulled, snagged, stretched, caught or otherwise subjected to force.
We strongly recommend taking care around anything that could catch or pull your jewellery.
If the weld breaks within 30 days of your appointment, and you still have the jewellery, Wildly Welded will re-weld it free of charge.
To qualify for the complimentary re-weld:
-
The jewellery must be returned to Wildly Welded for inspection.
-
You must still have the jewellery, including the chain and welded jump ring where applicable.
-
The jewellery must be in a condition that allows it to be safely re-welded.
-
The free re-weld applies to the weld only and does not cover lost, damaged or broken chain, charms or other components.
If the chain itself has broken, been damaged or a section has been lost, a replacement piece or additional chain may be required. Any replacement jewellery or materials will be chargeable.
After the initial 30-day period, re-welds and repairs may be available dependent on the damage caused, at an additional cost.
Breakages caused by significant pulling, snagging, accidental damage, misuse or alteration may be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact Wildly Welded as soon as possible if your jewellery breaks. We recommend keeping all parts of the jewellery until we have assessed it.
4. WARRANTY
We take care to ensure every piece is correctly fitted and welded before you leave your appointment.
Any suspected manufacturing fault or welding issue should be reported to us promptly. We will assess the jewellery and determine whether a repair or replacement is appropriate.
Damage caused by snagging, pulling, stretching, accidental damage, misuse or normal wear and tear is not covered as a manufacturing fault.
We do not guarantee jewellery against loss, breakage or damage caused by circumstances outside our control.
5. LOST JEWELLERY
Wildly Welded cannot accept responsibility for permanent jewellery that has been lost.
If your jewellery breaks and any or all of the jewellery is subsequently lost, we are unable to offer a free replacement, refund or complimentary re-weld.
If you have lost your jewellery and would like a new piece, a new purchase will be required at the current price.
Please keep all parts of your jewellery if it breaks and contact Wildly Welded as soon as possible so we can assess whether a complimentary re-weld is possible under our 30-day re-weld policy.
6. REMOVAL
Permanent jewellery is intended to be worn continuously; however, it can be removed whenever necessary.
Do not attempt to pull or tear the jewellery apart.
The safest method of removal is to carefully cut the jump ring or chain using appropriate scissors or jewellery cutters. We recommend having this done professionally where possible.
If you require assistance removing your jewellery, please contact us.
Wildly Welded cannot be held responsible for injury or damage caused by attempting to remove jewellery yourself.
7. AFTERCARE & MAINTENANCE
You will be provided with aftercare guidance following your appointment.
You are responsible for following the recommended care instructions. Failure to follow aftercare guidance may result in tarnishing, discolouration, irritation, damage or premature deterioration of the jewellery.
Although our jewellery is suitable for everyday wear, excessive exposure to chemicals, perfumes, lotions, cleaning products, chlorine and other harsh substances may affect its appearance and longevity.
8. SKIN SENSITIVITY & ALLERGIES
It is your responsibility to inform us before your jewellery is fitted of any known metal allergies, sensitivities or skin conditions that may be relevant to wearing jewellery.
While we take care to use suitable jewellery materials, we cannot guarantee that irritation or an allergic reaction will not occur.
If you experience persistent redness, swelling, itching, pain or irritation, remove the jewellery where possible and seek appropriate medical advice.
Wildly Welded cannot accept responsibility for reactions caused by a known or undisclosed allergy or sensitivity.
9. HEALTH & SAFETY
You must inform us before your appointment of anything that may affect your ability to safely receive the service.
You are unable to have welded jewellery if you have a pacemaker.
We reserve the right to refuse or postpone a service if we believe it would be unsafe or unsuitable to proceed.
Jewellery should not be worn where it could create a safety risk, including certain workplaces, medical procedures or activities.
You are responsible for removing your jewellery when required for work, medical treatment, surgery, scans or other situations where jewellery is prohibited.
10. CHARMS & ADD-ONS
Charms and additional components may become caught or snagged more easily than the chain itself.
Wildly Welded cannot guarantee against damage or loss of individual charms or additional components caused by snagging, pulling, impact or general wear.
Replacement charms will be chargeable where the original has been lost or damaged.
11. PAYMENTS
Payment is due in full at the time of your appointment unless otherwise agreed.
Prices may vary depending on the chain, charms and additional jewellery selected.
Once jewellery has been custom-fitted or altered specifically for you, it cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
12. RETURNS & REFUNDS
Because permanent jewellery is custom-fitted and altered specifically for each customer, customised permanent jewellery is non-refundable and cannot be returned due to a change of mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights where the jewellery is faulty or the service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill.
13. APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may reduce the time available for your appointment and, where there is insufficient time to safely complete the service, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Cancellation and no-show fees may apply in accordance with our booking policy.
14. CHILDREN & YOUNG CUSTOMERS
Customers under 16 must have the required consent and/or attendance of a parent or legal guardian in accordance with Wildly Welded's age policy.
We reserve the right to request proof of age and/or identification where necessary.
15. PHOTOGRAPHS & SOCIAL MEDIA
We may take photographs or videos of jewellery and completed work for promotional purposes only where appropriate consent has been provided.
You may request that photographs or videos showing you are not used for promotional purposes.
16. LIABILITY
Wildly Welded will always take reasonable care when fitting and welding your jewellery.
However, we cannot be held responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from:
-
Failure to follow aftercare instructions
-
Incorrect or improper use of the jewellery
-
Snagging, pulling or accidental damage
-
Attempted self-removal or alteration
-
Undisclosed allergies or sensitivities
-
Loss of jewellery or charms
-
Wearing jewellery during activities where it may pose a risk
-
Normal wear and tear
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.
17. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By booking an appointment, purchasing permanent jewellery or allowing the service to be carried out, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Wildly Welded reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
